An image transfer member has been patented. The member includes a release layer comprising a transfer surface adapted to receive already formed images from a first surface and transfer them to a second surface. A conforming layer is located immediately beneath the release layer, which comprises a plurality of sub-layers. Each has a different Shore A hardness of less than 80.
